Planting plans and garden design in Bath - This project was to transform the space occupied by an existing swimming pool into a visually appealing and useable space.
The idea was developed to provide a space where the garden is linked to the house and it would give an outdoor entertaining area whilst adding an interesting mix of mainly herbaceous perennials that can be seen from the house.
Using the hole in the ground from the pool, a sunken seated area was created with a fire pit / barbeque area.
The planting surrounds you with herbaceous perennials, annuals and evergreen ball shapes. The planting is nectar rich, into fine gravel to allow for self seeding and the strong structure of the balls are Buxus, Taxus, Osmanthus and Pinus mugo.
