The Urn Garden
This was a very overgrown, closed in garden that the only object that showed interest was the Urn covered in ivy. The patio area was the size of a postage stamp and the shrubs, trees were mainly past their best.
It was necessary to start again with this garden, taking out, pulling back and leaving some of the better trees in place, giving them some space. The house is a Dower house of some age and the formality of this house is reflected in one area of the garden which then leads you up to a large pergola given privacy by pleached Carpinus Betulus. A utility area was created to cope with the green waste coming out and this material will be used back on the borders.
