About The Garden Goddess
Let me tell you something about The Garden Goddess Garden Design Ltd . I am Karen Knowlton and I formed my business in Bath 18 years ago. I grew up on a small-holding in West Wales, from where I went to art college, both in Wales and Bristol and obtained a BA(HONS) in Fashion Design. I spent 10 years working in the horticultural industry in West Penwith Cornwall, on a Care in the Community Nursery managing the herb section for both retail and restaurants, running my own educational course for Cornwall College and building a sensory garden before moving to Bath.
The Garden Goddess Garden Design Ltd is a company based in Bath but serving the surrounding counties of Wiltshire, Somerset and beyond. I operate on an organic basis – where designing, planting and providing products that have a strong environmental ethos. I work with clients across Bath and the South West to design and create their outdoor rooms.
I love to cloud prune – Niwake with pruning and shaping a speciality. I source plants where I can from local nurseries and use local landscapers and skilled trades to create my builds with myself and my team overseeing the soft landscaping side which involves sourcing, organising and creating the planting schemes. My projects involve both domestic and commercial properties.
I am able to take you through all the stages of your project, from the planning and design of the garden, to the build of your project. You will always have a maintenance guide to your planting at the end to make sure you or your gardener understand how to keep it looking fabulous. Budget is always a factor and I aim to keep a project on course, whether you are developing the whole garden or doing it in stages. Each garden that is designed is completely bespoke to give you a garden that is personal to you and your family.
